Mother's Korean Grill is my favorite Korean restaurant in Las Vegas. The menu is very diverse and full of classic gourmet Korean food. Mother's Korean Grill offers many dinner entrees that are made with classy ingredients like beef tenderloin, lobster and prawns.
Mother's Korean Grill is located at the main Chinatown plaza on Spring Mountain Road at the intersection of Wynn. The restaurant is in the same plaza as the Chinese Theatre of Performing Arts.
There is nothing that is not Korean at Mother's. The television in the casual dining area is set on a Korean channel. I never knew that Korean soap operas were so cool! Talk about conniving and scheming soap opera plot themes! The beer is Korean and the same goes for the rice wines. Mother is sometimes in the restaurant, wearing very colorful traditional Korean master cook clothes. I have dined at Mother's Korean Grill several times over the years. The food is exceptionally high in quality. The quality and presentation of the food at Mother's does justify paying a few extra dollars for each item when compared to other Las Vegas Korean restaurants.
I usually have the Jjigae at Mother's. Today, I tried the Bibimbap. The Bibimbap came with a variety of Korean banchan side dishes. The small bowl of daikon radish and minced beef ball in clear broth was very nice. I have never seen or tasted a better kimchi! The kimchi was so very well crafted.
The Bibimbap was the best that I have ever experienced. A variety of flavors and textures with the traditional fried egg makes Bibimbap a very interesting entree to eat. The accompanying sauces were well crafted too.
I can honestly say that there are not many Korean restaurants that are better than Mother's Korean Grill. The food is fantastic there!
I highly recommend Mother's Korean Grill for visitors of Las Vegas and locals alike! While in Las Vegas, a visit to Mother's is a must! Yum! ... Shawna
