This article was originally written on 11/2/2010. I had a nice response to the Breakfast at the Wicked Spoon Buffet, Cosmopolitan Casino blog entry, so I thought that I would edit this old blog entry.
My three day Las Vegas Vacation is over, but I am not quite done yet. The day after flying back, I was stuffed to the gills till late after work from the great food that I ate in Las Vegas.
Dinner at The Buffet at Aria:
After getting off of the plane in Las Vegas, friends picked me up at the airport and we went to the Aria Casino for a refined gourmet seafood theme buffet.
Fresh steamed whole lobsters were brought to our table by the waitress! That was a very nice complimentary surprise. There were many nice classic Indian vegetarian entrees to choose from on the buffet. Piles of fresh king crab legs! Fresh shucked oysters! Chowders and gumbos! Smoked and pickled fish. Top quality Sushi. Pastas cooked to order. Some very nice authentic Chinese seafood cuisine. Roasted prime rib and many other meats were at the carving station.
The desserts were created by Jean Philippe Patisserie. I have a thing for mango sorbet and Aria's hand crafted mango sorbet was excellent! The chocolate pate-ganache-chocolate cake tiered petifore was a chocolate lovers dream come true!
I highly recommend the seafood them night at The Buffet at Aria!
Hash House A Go Go:
Hash House A Go Go was great for a heavy duty filling creative breakfast! I wrote a nice separate blog entry about my Hash House A Go Go experience.
Highly recommended!
Dick's Last Resort:
Dick's Last Resort at the Excalibur Casino was a bizarre experience! I would hate to ruin the fun for you by describing what Dick's Last Resort is all about. Just be ready for some funny abuse from the wait staff. I guarantee that you will be embarrassed in front of your dinner guests while dining! The menu is written in a very funny way with plenty of vulgar language. The cuisine at Dick's Last Resort is simple fun bar and grill food. Dick's Last Resort is a famous Las Vegas dining destination. The prices may seem high, but the cost of the entertaining abuse by the waitstaff and the fun style of social embarrassment is part of the tab!

The Village Buffet:
The Village Buffet at the Paris Casino has French theme. The layout of the dining area and food stations was so interesting! The buffet was located in a village of old shops and separate little buildings where you stroll on the street, from shop to shop, selecting what you would like to eat. The dining tables were located in some of the French shops and some of the tables were right on the street. The French food was very nice! It is worth the waiting time in the long line to get into this buffet.

The Buffet at the Wynn:
Monday, I had brunch at The Wynn Casino. The Wynn is one of my favorite places and it certainly is upscale. The buffet features very trendy cutting edge food in a very colorful garden setting. The food was of very high quality as usual. Most memorable was the homemade strawberry sherbet made with fresh strawberries. It was so perfect and light. Steve Wynn has promoted vegetarian cuisine in all of his restaurants. If you would like to sample a nice variety of modern creative vegan cuisine, then this is the buffet to try. The entrees on the buffet are perfection cooked. There are offerings of classical and modern cuisine. It is well worth the wait and the price to dine at the Wynn Buffet. Just think of the Wynn Buffet as going to a private invited guest tasting menu night at a new fine restaurant. The food at the Wynn Buffet is superb!

Joe's New York Pizza:
On the way to the airport, my Las Vegas friend and I stopped at Joe's New York Pizza across the street from the Hard Rock Casino and next to the University of Las Vegas campus. College kids and locals both love this pizza shop! This is some of the best New York City style pizza that there is anywhere. Including New York City! They have a few gourmet pizza offerings and regular pizza toppings on the menu. The pizza toppings at Joe's New York Pizza are high quality. You can buy the pizza by the slice or by the pie. This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat before dancing all night at the wild clubs in the Las Vegas alternative Fruit Loop district.
Highly recommended!
I did a few of the finest buffets during this Halloween weekend trip home to Las Vegas. It was a party hardy Halloween weekend and the munchies demanded buffet variety! To tell you honestly, a couple plates of food at a fine Las Vegas Buffet would be equal to a $100 to $300 dollar dinner tab at a fine dining restaurant. The buffet food is that high in quality. Las Vegas has come a long way from the old cliche days of "yellow sauce or brown sauce" style buffet food. On a crazy wild party and dance Halloween weekend in Las Vegas, go buffet and dine at fun crazy places in between! ... Shawna

Thanks so much for your restaurant reviews. This is a good recommendation.I will consider this..
