In case you are wondering why there has not been any new recipes posted this week, it is because I am preparing to move back home to Las Vegas in the month of September. I have been working away from home for two years in an occupation outside of the restaurant business. Two very long years!
Soon I will be certified as a chef in Las Vegas while achieving an associates degree in culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu. You may ask "Why go to school after cooking professionally for 20 years?" Now is as good a time as any! An associates degree is the second step in becoming a certified executive chef. After continuing to get a bachelors degree and doctorate in culinary arts, there will be opportunities to teach culinary arts. While attending school, I may cook in a trendy Las Vegas restaurant or casino to satisfy the externship requirements of school.
For the time being, I am temporarily living in a motel and everything that I own is in storage. Needless to say, I have no kitchen to cook recipes in at this time. However, there is a microwave oven in the motel room and I might just fiddle around with a few microwave recipes. This may appeal to my readers who like to use microwaves or those who travel.
When I return to my home in Las Vegas next month, I will resume posting fine recipes in this blog. I will also be posting more Las Vegas restaurant reviews.
