A reason to celebrate with a Maui Banana Milkshake today!
I have done two Fatburger restaurant reviews in the past already. I am not going to spend much time describing Fatburger over again in this blog post. I had a reason to celebrate today and I thought that a hand scooped ice cream Maui Banana Shake would be mild mannered enough for this occasion! While at Fatburger, I decided to post a review of their Boca Veggie Burger for the vegan readers that may think that Fatburger only sells huge hamburgers!
Today I received my two gold Cordon Bleu Presidents Achievement Award Pins! These nice looking pins signify that I held a straight A, 4.0 grade point average for two 12 week sessions! That is not that easy to do, but I managed to accomplish it. It is nice that Le Cordon Bleu awards students for B grades and A grades. That adds inspiration for students to achieve. My celebration was a big hooray and a Maui Banana Shake!
Back to business! I remember how awful that tofu veggie burgers used to be years ago. They were barely edible! Things have change in recent years. The quality of veggie burgers has dramatically improved!
The Boca Veggie Burger at Fatburger was really good tasting! The texture of the patty was just like a ground beef patty texture. The tofu veggie burger was quite filling and satisfying!
Every item is cooked to order at Fatburger. There are no heat lamps or microwaves at all! The veggie burger takes a while to cook, so sit down and enjoy the old nostalgic burger stand atmosphere.
I highly recommend the Boca Veggie Burger at Fatburger for my vegan readers! Its worth giving a try, even if you are not vegan!
On the last Saturday of this month, rumor has it that Fatburger will be doing the XXXL Challenge! The challenge is to eat a 24 ounce Triple King Burger with chili, bacon, cheese, fried egg and all the fixings in less than 35 minutes. The Challenge Burger is offered at a low promotional price!
The reward for completing the XXXL Challenge in less than 35 minutes is the winner's picture will be posted on the wall of fame and a certificate of merit will be awarded to the customer! Its not easy, because it is a big food challenge and it is easy to hit the wall of too much food!
I'll give the XXXL Challenge a try when the time comes! I almost finished the 16 ounce Fatburger when I went there a few months ago. I really hit the excess food wall hard and was immobile for hours after that big one pound burger meal. That meal included a shake and a basket of freshly breaded onion rings. Without the side dishes, I might be able to complete the XXXL Challenge later this month. Thats a big maybe! I need to be really hungry, just to even think about taking on a hamburger challenge like that! Yum! ... Shawna
